ABOUT ME

I am a Seasonal Yoga Teacher based in Paisley. I have been practicing yoga for many years and in 2016 I decided to train as a teacher.  I studied at the Seasonal Yoga Academy in Glasgow where i recieved my 200 hours Registered Yoga Teacher certificate.  I have since been upgraded to a Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT-200) and that means that I am qualified to teach yoga teacher trainings or to hold yoga teacher CPD courses.

Seasonal Yoga flow or Seasonal Vinyasa Flow is a style of dynamic Yoga practice which is designed to align you with the changing energies of nature and the seasons. A practice that improves physical strength and flexibility and brings balance and harmony to your life.

I furthered my yoga education by training in:

Rockstar Yoga which is core strength vinyaysa flow.

Yin Yoga with Arhanda Yoga.  Yin Yoga which works on the bodies connective tissues and consists of a series of long held predominantly floor based poses.

Yoga for Sleep Recovery with Lisa Sanfilipo.  The 5-step Sleep Recovery method is for anyone who wants to sleep better. It brings your body, energy, mind, emotions- and your deepest wisdom back into balance repairing your ability to rest deeply. If you’re not sleeping as well as you’d like, answer the wake up call. You’ll find simple, effective practices- backed by research and rationale from yoga, neuroscience and psychology- offered with warmth and compassion.  Courses will be coming soon 💜

Subtle Yoga which is a broadly applicable, person-centered approach to yoga practice which can be tailored to differing body types/physical abilities and various contexts – from mental illness to public health.

Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) which is a guided meditation and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. I’ve heard that an hour of yoga nidra can be as restorative as four hours of regular sleep!  On the Classes page of my website there is a Yoga Nidra audio recording which is free to listen to.

Yoga for the stages of menopause and beyond, I plan to hold workshops/classes to help womankind to alleviate the symptoms which come in these stages of life.

I am currently studying with My Vinyasa Practice to complete my 300 hours teacher training which will make me a 500 hours registered teacher.

I am currently studying with Air Control Pilates to be a qualified instructor :)

I am currently teaching yoga classes for a football team, yoga for athletes has been proven to reduce injuries and extend the lifetime of the athletes career.  If this is something you're team would be interested in, please get in touch.

I currently teach all of the above styles of yoga which all complement each other.  More information on class content can be found here

Kirsty's class caters for all levels of experience.  It is relaxing and challenging in equal measure.  Kirsty is a fantastic teacher , she takes the time to get to know each person's skill level and what they want to get out of the class.  I love her music.  As a beginner I feel welcome in her classes and have recently enjoyed her zoom class in the comfort of my own living room.   I would highly recommend her classes. x
